We stayed with the Lerer cousins for Shabbos. The kids are really having a great time together. It's been almost two years since they last saw each other, but it seems like just yesterday the way they just get back into it with each other. Yosef loves having "big brothers" he can pester, just like when nephews Ephraim and Jeremy visit. And our kids are bonding with Baby Isaac, who is a lot bigger since they first met him as an infant at the other Lerers' wedding in 2009.
Karen and I were treated to 5-star accommodations, from the chocolate mints on our beds to the slippers with "The Ritz Carlton" logo on them. We all ate dinner Friday night at Gil-Ezer and Debbie, and the kids stayed up playing until really late (12:30-1:00). We didn't wake up until around 10AM the next morning (today).
Lunch was served at Aunt Goldie's house (three houses down from Gil-Ezer and Debbie), and then it was off for a Shabbos nap. Kids played a lot in the backyard. They just repaired the trampoline with a new enclosure and padding.
There are plans for tomorrow to do something on a lake near some old friends of the Lerers and then to go do a barbecue and see fireworks at some other old friends (same family as the first "old friends"). Apparently this family sponsors fireworks for the whole town on their property. Hopefully will get some cool pics of them.
